Family
Family History: Ava Marin grew up in Orono, Maine. Her parents were college sweethearts, and her mom was only 23 when she had her. Although things were rough for the first few years, Ava's father's business became successful, and the family was stable. When Ava was seven, her mom had Marcus, and when she was nine, her mom had Thomas. She loved her little brothers, and everything was good. The whole family was happy and stable.

When Ava was thirteen, her father's business crashed. The family struggled to make ends meet, and as her mom picked up a part time job Ava was the one taking care of her younger brothers. She heard about Caput Capitis online one day, and decided to apply for a scholarship. Ava had always been good with academics, and was offered a full scholarship as long as she kept above C in all of her classes. She figured that if she went, it would make money easier on her parents. After telling them, they eventually decided to let her go. The first night she arrived, Ava tried to call home, but the call didn't go through. Assuming they hadn't paid the phone bill, Ava waited a week before trying again. Three weeks later, there was no answer. She waited for a letter, a call to the school office, anything. Ava heard nothing despite her efforts and just gave up on trying to stay in touch with her family.
